Refund policy

We want you to enjoy every purchase. This policy explains your rights and our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds in line with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).
1) Cooling‑off & General Timeframes
- ECTA cooling‑off: For online purchases, you may cancel within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unopened/unused and in original packaging. Return shipping is at your cost.
- Standard returns: We accept change‑of‑mind returns within 30 days of delivery if items are unused, in original packaging, and in resellable condition.
2) Eligibility Requirements
- Proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) is required.
- Items must include all accessories, manuals, and original packaging.
- Goods returned used, incomplete, or damaged may be declined or subject to a fee (see Section 6).
3) Non‑Returnable Items
- Gift cards and downloadable/digital products.
- Customised, special‑order, or made‑to‑spec items (unless defective under the CPA).
- Perishable or hygiene‑sensitive items once opened/used.
4) Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
- Upon delivery: Please inspect your order on arrival. Report visible transit damage or shortages within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and the item.
- CPA 6‑month warranty: If a product is defective (not due to misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear) within 6 months of delivery, we will repair, replace, or refund at our discretion after assessment.
- Incorrect item received: Notify us within 7 days with photos. We will arrange collection and send the correct item at no extra cost.
5) How to Start a Return
- Email admin@revet.co.za with your order number, reason for return, and photos (if applicable).
- We’ll confirm eligibility and provide a return authorisation and return address.
- Package items securely. Use a trackable, insured courier. You are responsible for the goods until received and inspected by us.
6) Fees & Return Shipping
- Change‑of‑mind returns: A 15% handling fee may apply to cover inspection, repacking, and admin.
- Return shipping: You cover courier costs for non‑defective returns. We cover shipping for approved defective/incorrect items.
- Condition deductions: Missing parts, damaged packaging, or signs of use may incur reasonable deductions in line with the CPA.
7) Exchanges
Where stock allows, we can exchange like‑for‑like items. If the item is unavailable, we will offer an alternative or a refund as appropriate.
8) Refund Method & Timelines
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method only (required by our payment providers).
- After inspection approval, we process refunds within 10 business days. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to reflect funds.
- Payments via instalment platforms (e.g., Payflex, PayJustNow) and gateways (PayGate, PayPal, Ozow) are refunded via the same platform’s processes and timelines.
9) Late or Missing Refunds
- First check with your bank/payment provider (posting times vary).
- Contact your card issuer or instalment provider if it still hasn’t appeared.
- If you’ve done the above and still have not received your refund, email admin@revet.co.za with your order number.
10) Warranties & Misuse
Warranty claims do not cover damage from misuse, unauthorised repairs/modifications, neglect, or normal wear and tear. We may test or assess products; if no fault is found, return shipping may be for your account.
11) Abuse Prevention
To protect fair use, we may limit or refuse returns in cases of excessive, abusive, or fraudulent return behaviour, consistent with applicable law.
